Kailey McLaughlin is a Brooklyn-based dancer, teacher, and writer. Growing up in North Carolina and New Hampshire, she began her training at The Ballet School of Chapel Hill and Phillips Exeter Academy. She continued dancing at Skidmore College, where she earned a dual degree in English and Dance with honors. At Skidmore, she had the opportunity to perform works by Robert Battle, Martha Graham, Isadora Duncan, Stephen Petronio, and Paul Taylor. Her most notable college performance was at the Martha Graham Dance Company's University Partners Showcase at the Joyce Theater, where she danced "Steps in the Street."

Since graduating, she has relocated to NYC to pursue dance performance and education professionally. Kailey has performed with Buglisi Dance Theatre at Lincoln Center Plaza, Mimi Liu at NY Live Arts, and currently dances with Arsenal Movement Dance Project. She is a teacher and an assistant in dance classes throughout NYC for persons of all ages and abilities, including with Dance for PD and Ballet for All Kids. In addition to her dancing, she coaches figure skating and continues to write.

Private lessons

Kailey teaches private dance lessons to students of all ages, abilities, and experience levels. Lessons can happen in-person in Brooklyn or online via Zoom. Rates range from $50-$75/hour (in-person lessons include a $25 studio rental fee).
